CP is the world’s leader in providing portable, fast, non-intrusive material analysis solutions. CP’s technology is multidisciplinary, based on proprietary Near Infrared spectrometers, Machine learning algorithms, and Software that together form a robust and highly performing material analysis tool.
The company is growing fast, expanding its reach in agriculture, food, and other industry segments.
We are looking for an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our existing customers. The Account Manager oversees a portfolio of assigned customers, develops new business from existing clients, and actively seeks new sales opportunities. This position will report to the VP of Sales.
What does an Account Manager do?
Account management responsibilities include developing strong customer relationships, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, and preparing sales reports. Account Managers also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Success and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience. This position requires occasional travel (on average, a week a month in the US). Ideally, candidates for this role will know how to meet ambitious individual and team-wide sales quotas. Ultimately, a successful Account Manager should collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long-run.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all assigned customer account management matters.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits with existing accounts.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Ensure our solutions' timely and successful delivery according to customer needs and objectives.
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Prepare reports on account status.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory.
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience of at least 6 years as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, relevant role.
- Proven work experience with B2B customers and enterprises of at least 3 years.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
- Excellent English – speak and write; additional languages are a bonus.
- Willingness to travel to the US frequently, at least once a month
- Solid experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
