We are looking for a superstar to join our Risk & Compliance department and be involved in the department’s periodic projects and daily tasks.
The Risk Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Risk Program in order to support the organization's mission to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to AML and Risk management.
What you'll do:
- Maintaining a strong theoretical and technical understanding of third-party risks, market risks, information technology, safeguarding, information security, legal, compliance and other operational risks.
- Reviewing the organization’s work processes and cooperate with departments' managers to identify potential exposure to risks.
- Developing the risks' mitigation process and developing strategies for keeping track of risks' mitigation efforts.
- Reviewing of Existing policies and Procedures and ensuring the company is aligned to it.
- Ensuring that all Risk Program projects are completed (or repeated) in a timely manner, to a professional quality level, and communicated appropriately to the appropriate teams and leaders across Okoora.
- Assisting with review of and response to external and internal audits involving regulatory and compliance matters.
- Preparing reports and updates for the management team on compliance and risk matters.
Requirements:
- BA in relevant fields (Economy, Business management, Accounting, Industrial eng. etc.)
- 3-5 years of experience in Risk management roles
- Previous experience in financial service industry- Advantage.
- Excels in a fast-paced, complex environment where business initiatives and priorities are constantly evolving.
- Independent worker, owner, know how to manage process from A to Z
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in explaining the how and why behind compliance programs to stakeholders.
- Outstanding judgment and organizational skills.
- The ability to analyze data, processes and practices and draw conclusions to make recommendations.
