Head of R&D

About QuantHealth & the Role:

QuantHealth is an AI startup supporting drug development and clinical trials. Our ground-breaking clinical trial simulator can run thousands of trials in parallel to de-risk and optimize upcoming clinical trials. Our solution drastically reduces drug development costs, shortens development timelines, and helps quantify clinical opportunities and ROI across the drug development portfolio. We are venture-backed, based in Israel, have customers in Europe and the US, and have experienced 200% revenue growth YOY over the last couple years. We seek a skilled and experienced Head of R&D to join our team to lead and execute our R&D strategy, ensuring effective decision-making processes, managing cross-team collaboration, and striking a balance between developing company capabilities and delivering high-quality products and services to our customers.

The ideal candidate will be a senior technology manager with a strong data science foundation, having recently led a team in tech-enabled services and products organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Process Architecture – Design and implement decision-making and prioritization frameworks and CICD processes that drive business objectives.
• Software Architecture – Design mission critical human + machine APIs between data science and engineering teams, while making software and infrastructure decisions that drive business objectives.
• Product Development - Translate product ideas and roadmaps into scalable and robust software designs, while informing leadership on the “art of the possible”.
• Operations & Resource Management – Translate architecture into operational plans that balance resource constraints against needs and priorities. Ensure that short-term goals and customer needs are met in a fast-paced environment, while balancing against long-term, strategic company goals.

Requirements

• Experience - 10-15 Years experience in technical roles, with the last 7 in leadership / management positions.
• Data Science - Strong foundation and experience in managing data science and AI/ML operations, having led both model development as well as model production.
• Data Operations - Experience managing, building, and maintaining big-data pipelines, and managing data warehouses, and cloud computing systems.
• Platform Development - Experience managing full-stack applications and development teams, including related CI/CD, and DevOps functions.
• Tech-Enabled Services - Experience in hybrid product / services environments, where technology was central to both product development and customer service functions.
• Culture of Success - Experience in both enterprise and small/medium companies, managing hybrid/remote/global teams with a demonstrated history of driving growth and success.
