Your Role and Responsibilities

Would you like to work on a meaningful Research project focused on developing deep learning technologies to design drugs and discover their mechanisms? Are you interested in being part of a diverse Israeli research organization with international collaborations and clients? Do you have a passion for creating reusable code, and would you like to add to our open-source tools at https://github.com/BiomedSciAI?

Are you pursuing a master's degree or doctorate in Computer Science or related areas, and did you develop technologies in Machine Learning/Deep Learning/Generative Models or a similar field?

Then this position might be for you.

We at the AI in Healthcare and Life Sciences department at IBM Research – Israel are working on developing novel machine learning methods to analyze a wide variety of molecular data and genomic data. We are developing predictive and generative DL-based algorithms to discover new targets for novel drugs and to generate new therapeutic molecules. We invite relevant candidates interested in a summer internship to apply for this position.

Our summer internship program offers the opportunity to join our research team for a three-month full-time internship (5 days a week) either in Tel Aviv or Haifa. During the internship, you will work with our talented researcher on top projects, helping create the next generation of AI technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

MSc or PhD student in Computer Science, bioinformatics or related fields.

Authorized to work in Israel or hold an applicable work permit required by the Israeli law.
