Olive Diagnostics (https://www.olive.earth/) is hiring an electrical engineer.

Olive is focusing in developing an innovative passive spectral device for at home measurements of urine biomarkers. Olive’s next-generation device will enable to passively analyze urine and empower users at home with early biomarkers information.

The suitable candidate will have the opportunity to work with the different departments of the company, a young and dynamic medical device startup; and, assist in the company’s transition into mass manufacturing.

You will join a team of highly qualified scientists & engineers enthusiastic to launching our initial IVD Medical Device in the coming months.

About this opportunity

By joining our HareWare team within the R&D department, you will be the Electrical Engineer responsible for all electrical aspects of our field deployed products. You will investigate and solve problems with electronic modules and testers in our sophisticated and complex medical device, including electronic boards, power and current drivers, driving LEDs, and other loads, A/Ds, serial communication, data transfer and control. This role involves redesigning of boards, sub-modules and Jigs when required.

The suitable candidate will be reporting to our HW manager and responsibe for the IB (Install Base) and continuation of production line – as the representative of the hardware R&D group. This includes:

• Finding of Root Causes for complex problems
• Defining tests and debugging tools
• Redesign of boards and modules
• Providing new initiatives ideas/designs to increase production yield and reduce RMA
• Documentation

In this role, you’ll need …

• BSc in Electrical Engineer or a Practical engineer
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an R&D or Engineering Electrical engineer
• Hands on capabilities are a must.
• Experience and knowledge in operating test equipment, such as power supplies, Oscilloscope, Line testers, etc.
• Top electronics  professional
• Knowledge in analog circuits is a must (A/D and D/A devices)
• Experience in USB, I2C, SPI, JTAG
• Orcad/KiCAD/Eagle/Altium knowledge is a substantial advantage.
