Automation Engineer

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced automation engineer with a strong passion for performance and with excellent problem-solving skills. If you’re passionate about quality and efficiency, then join our team. You will play an important part in Perimeter 81’s product development process. You will create and implement strategy for quality coordination and automation testing, as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems. You will also be responsible for creating the testing tools and load and performance testing framework for Perimeter 81’s end-to-end testing environments.

Major Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automation frameworks for the R&D products
• Design, automate and implement test cases for a variety of products, using the latest technologies on the market
• Develop and apply integrated testing processes for new and existing products, using the latest tools and technology
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Use different testing techniques such as UI testing, automated testing, and test-driven development strategies Work hand-in-hand with manual QA to learn about the system and find ways to improve the automation flows
• Creating testing tools to improve our QA capabilities
• Build load and performance testing frameworks
• Identify key KPIs for product quality
• Challenge our methodologies and tools and strive to continuously improve

Desired Background

• 2+ years of experience with automation tools and processes.
• 2+ years of experience in API testing
• 1+ year of experience with network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/UDP, Routing)
• 1+ year of experience with tunnels and VPNs
• 1+ year of experience with configuring firewalls
• 2+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS

Advantages:

• Experience in performance testing, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Experience with cloud-based performance testing tools such as AirFlow.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience in testing Web applications
