VP R&D

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced team leader that will lead processes with our R&D and Algo departments in parallel to the VP Product.

 As our VP R&D, you will play a significant role in shaping the technological direction of the company, overseeing our computer vision product.

We are building something special here, and we are looking for an VP R&D to grow our startup, provide technical leadership and guidance, advise the development of new products, and implement long-term technology strategies. This position reports directly to the CEO and is a significant part of our leadership team.

The right candidate is very technical, always continues to learn, is excited about technology, and drives technical excellence, with amazing people and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

●         Provide, leveraging your technical expertise to troubleshoot challenges, offer guidance on best practices, and ensure the successful execution of projects.

●         Spearhead the strategic planning and meticulous management of development milestones, ensuring alignment with overarching project timelines.

●         Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.

●         Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

●         Utilize professional risk management to build an organization that is highly visible and predictable.

●         Direct reporting to the CEO.

Qualifications

●         At least 8 years of experience in development roles.

●         At least 4 years of experience leading and managing R&D teams, in a startup environment.

●         Knowledge of advanced development methodologies and tools (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Microservices).

●         Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

●         A background in development, with hands-on experience in Python/JavaScript/React.

●         Experience in Computer Vision / AI - Advantage

●         Experience managing cloud services and ensuring best practices in cloud architecture.

●         Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

●         Ability to mentor, coach and develop.
