The Gila Project for Trans Empowerment is the first Israeli non-profit organization established to promote transgender rights. We support an emerging community and believe in protecting and empowering the most vulnerable of the LGBTQ+ community.

Role Description

The Gila Project is seeking a full-time Trans Center Manager to oversee the Trans Center in Tel Aviv District. The Trans Center Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center, including staff management, developing and implementing programs, managing budget, work plans and reporting as needed, and ensuring the Trans Center is an environment that is welcoming and safe for all members of the community.

Qualifications

• Management experience, particularly in a non-profit or community-based organization
• Knowledge of issues facing the transgender community, as well as experience working in the LGBTQ+ community
• Experience developing and implementing programs and events
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interface with a diverse group of people
• Fluent in Hebrew. Other languages - a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or relvant fields - a plus
