VP of Fundraising and Strategy

A Vice President (VP) of fundraising and strategy is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the formulation and execution of an association strategic initiatives and growth plans.

Responsibilities:

• Fundraising - responsible for building relationships with prospective donors and clients across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal teams, delegating tasks, and drawing up plans to ensure annual targets are met.
• Strategy: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential markets to expand the organization's reach and revenue streams.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and assess competitive landscapes to make informed strategic decisions.
• Public Relations and Communications: Manage external communications, including press releases, media relations, and partnerships to enhance the association's visibility and reputation.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team responsible for strategy development, business analysis, and market research, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is often preferred.
• Experience: fundraising experience (at least 5 years) and experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles, preferably in relevant industries.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, drive strategic initiatives, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic n: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to enn long-term objectives and translate them into actionable plans.
• Communication skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
