Validation Data Scientist- hybrid, Tel-Aviv

We’re hiring a Validation Data Scientist to join a leading Fintech company and work on the validation of Machine Learning-based credit models.
Contract: Temporary position until the end of the year, with an option to extend.
Location: Tel Aviv, on the train line.
Work model: Hybrid – 2 days from home per week.

What will you do?
• Validate ML-based credit models, assessing performance, data quality, robustness, and conceptual soundness.
• Challenge model assumptions and propose alternative approaches when needed.
• Analyze model strengths and weaknesses and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
• Generate insights and analyses to support data-driven decisions.
• Prepare thorough model validation documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Support ongoing monitoring and improvement of predictive models.

Requirements – Must Have-
• 3+ years of experience in Data Science roles with exposure to Machine Learning models.
• Strong Python skills, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and Seaborn.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with excellent communication abilities.
• Fluent English.

Nice to Have-
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in Finance or financial modeling.
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms and distributed computing, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and model risk in financial models.
