Quality Engineer for Operation and Manufacturing

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Engineer at ROKAR LIMITED, located in Jerusalem. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the products and productions systems meet or exceed customer and industry quality standards. The role requires managing the quality of production and processes, identifying and resolving quality issues, and analyzing data to drive continuous improvement initiatives. supplier certification and quality, non-conforming items management, etc.

Role Responsibilities:

• Definition of processes, methods, and control of the production and assembly processes in NPI stage
• Planning internal quality audits and main supplier audits
• Supporting the supplier certification process
• Carrying out supplier quality checks, which include tracking non-conformities
• Writing quality requirements specifications for suppliers
• Performing internal quality audits in production
• Defining methods for auditing production and tools for carrying out the audit processes
• Management and handling of exceptions and quality incidents (defining the problem, identifying the root causes, implementing corrective actions, and measuring effectiveness). Measuring the effectiveness of preventive and corrective actions
• Management of the FRACAS system internally and with the suppliers
• Dealing with customer complaints and discrepancies, in front of customers
• Management of MRB processes
• Certification of new suppliers to manufacture products
• Support for the procurement team on supplier management and rating issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electronics engineering / Master's degree an advantage
• CQE qualified
• In-depth knowledge of the AS9100 standard, military standards for manufacturing
• Proven experience in writing technical documents and quality specifications, writing procedures and work instructions, writing ECO's
• Experience in managing non-conforming process
• Proven experience of at least 5 years in the field of supplier quality assurance
• Proven experience of at least 5 years in ensuring production quality
• Experience of at least 5 years from companies in the defense industry
• Experience working with PDM, and ERP systems.
• Experience in Product Quality and Quality Management
• Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
