CAD Drafter

• Primary Duties and Responsibilities*
• Assist designers who are creating and modifying three-line diagrams, AC & DC schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, relay schematics, or other equipment schematics such as MOABs, circuit breakers, CCVTs, and panel front views using Microstation.
• Responsible for revising existing drawings and preparing drawings of basic components from explicit verbal or written instructions or detailed sketches.
• Successfully plots drawings; learns and follows company and client drafting standards and procedures; learns the practices of a selected discipline.
• Provide support to Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers to meet project needs.
• Non-complex drawing development & data entry.
• Education and Experience Requirements*
• Formal post high-school civil drafting degree and/or an Engineering Technology degree.
• AutoCAD/AutoCAD electrical experience; MicroStation is a plus.
• Ability to create custom applications (Visual basic, LISP, Macros).
• Previous experience with Protection and Control engineering a plus.
• Associate degree in applied science (AAS) in drafting and computer aided (CAD) design or in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology or equivalent experience and/or education.
