Design System Lead

Our competitive advantage is based on our ability to simplify complex operations and provide intuitive, engaging, and slick user interactions so we are looking for a passionate, talented, highly motivated Design System Lead to extend our Product Design team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the definition and development of a comprehensive design system that aligns with Guesty's UX guidelines and enhances the user experience across all digital platforms.
• Collaborate closely with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration of design components and patterns into the system.
• Create and maintain design documentation, guidelines, and assets in tools like Figma.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to the design team on design system best practices and principles.
• Publish and maintain design system documentation in a content management system (CMS) for easy access and reference.
• Advocate for the design system adoption across the organization, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness in all digital products.
• Measure and analyze the success of the design system adoption through key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback, iterating and improving as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design, with a focus on creating and implementing design systems.
• Proficient in using Figma for design and collaboration.
• Strong understanding of design principles, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience publishing and maintaining design documentation in a content management system.
• Proven track record of successfully advocating for and driving the adoption of design systems within an organization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Portfolio showcasing previous design system projects and UX work.
