Role Description

As an R&D Business Operations Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in managing our cloud operations. Your core responsibility will be to optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and ensure practical resource allocation within our dynamic cloud environment. This involves closely monitoring usage, implementing cost-saving strategies, and collaborating with diverse teams to streamline and rationalize our cloud costs.

You will also be responsible for overseeing the Israeli Innovation Authority (IIA) program, including diverse frameworks ranging from generic R&D to collaborations with academia and industry. Your role involves end-to-end program management, from ideation to execution, serving as the primary liaison for IIA representatives, ensuring adherence to requirements, obligations, and facilitating relevant communication.

Main Responsibilities

• Cloud Consumption Monitoring: Monitor cloud usage to identify, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes
• Cloud Optimization Planning: Develop optimization plans in the cloud to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Budget and Forecast Analysis: Track the monthly cloud budget and forecast, conducting in-depth analysis of cloud costs and usage
• Team Support: Assist teams in understanding their cloud spend and usage, fostering collaboration with stakeholders to achieve efficiency
• Cloud Governance Enhancement: Work towards enhancing cloud governance within the R&D environment
• IIA Program Management: Manage the Israel Innovation Authority program from ideation to execution, ensuring compliance with requirements and effective communication.
• Proposal and Report Writing: Compile proposals and reports, translating technical, scientific, and market data into a compelling narrative
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead initiatives with multiple technical aspects, collaborating with partners such as data scientists, DevOps, product management, IT, and finance
• Ad-hoc Initiative Management: Oversee various ad-hoc initiatives supporting R&D activities
  
  

• Minimum 5 years in roles such as data analyst, FinOps, or equivalent
• Experience with AWS/Azure console, services, cost management, and FinOps principles
• Project management skills
• Proficient in data analysis, and detail-oriented
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• A self-starter with a proven track record of continuous self-learning and adaptability
• Exceptional communication skills
• A team player with a "can-do" attitude
• Experience working in a global software company
• Fluent in English
