Purpose of the role
On the Tel Aviv Green Line Project, the BIM coordinator and Underground section coordinator is responsible for :
- Organizing and coordinating the BIM activities for the Rail Systems scope over the whole BIM/3D scope on the Project (Depots, Underground and Special Stations, Trackside Technical Rooms (TTRs) and typical Stops),
- Coordinating the delivery and the integration of the Railway Systems designs for the underground sections of the line,
- Support the construction teams for the preparation and delivery of the Railway Systems installations for this portion of the line.

- 4.5 km of bored tunnels and cut and covers
- 3 new Underground Stations
- 1 existing Underground Stations
- 2 new submerged Stations
- 3 new elevated Stations
- 20+ Trackside Technical Rooms (TTRs) Organisational Structure The BIM coordinator and Underground section coordinator is part of the TMT Railway Systems team
- Networks The Railway Systems Design Managers, the Railway system Construction Management, the Railway System planning team, the EPC Integration Manager, the Depot Integration Leader, the Civils BIM Manager, the Configuration Manager, the Client.
- Measurement
- Support to the Project BIM manager (with Civil Works) for maintaining the BIM Execution Plan with Rail Systems related inputs
- Delivery of modelling works in the time scale provided
- Ensuring quality controls are done on BIM works by all (including subcontractors)
- Ensuring BIM Execution Plans are adhered by all (including subcontractors) and appropriate tools are used
- Ensuring good quality feedback is maintained with all
- Ensuring no comments remains open
- Activities defined and initiated,
- Control of the design integration for the underground section of line under his/her overview,
- Identification and escalation of potential issues as well as solutions to resolve them,
- Good reporting on progress and actions for the activities
- Responsibilities
- Coordination of the Rail subsystems BIM modellers and delivering support to them in daily tasks of design development,
- Delivering modelling himself as and when needed,
- Defining and applying quality controls as required ensuring compliance with the relevant plans and standards as well as ensuring coherence of all the models and their coordination with the baselined models and interfacing entities,
- Issuing models in the agreed timescales,
- Informing the Engineering manager of any change to activity, and propose solutions as required,
- Providing progress reports on activities as required,
- Manages the relations with the BIM management team appointed by the Civil Works partner.
- To support the Track Alignment and Line sections design subcontracts’ manager in all his tasks for the Underground portion of line overviewed, and
- Under the supervision of the Track Alignment and Line sections design subcontracts’
- manager :
- To prepare and control the integration of all spatial design delivered by the Railway Systems for the Underground portion of line overviewed,
- To organize and track the resolution with the design teams of integration issues on the spatial design,
- To support as possible the Railway Systems design teams for any matter associated with the spatial design of the Underground portion of the line
- Educational Requirements
- Knowledge of civil or electrical design experience, Railway knowledge is appreciated,
- In-depth working knowledge of Revit and BIM 360. Familiarity with ProjectWise is appreciated to ensure adequate communication with project teams (BIM Managers, coordinators and Design teams),
- Experience 3+ year's production experience in BIM design, drafting or engineering (Project and/or construction experience appreciated).
- Behavioural / Technical Competencies
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to adapt to complex project organization.
- Proactively coordinate with Project teams.
