Your Career
This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be directly employed by Palo Alto Networks but engaged to provide services through our trusted staffing partners.
Sourcers serve as Talent Advisors who operate in a highly strategic and consultative manner alongside Recruiting partners to bring the brightest talent to the organization. We dive deep, gaining an understanding of the overall org health, diversity landscape, team culture, and more. We educate our clients on the talent market and use data to influence decisions. We are highly selective, forward-thinking, and nimble. We implement creative solutions and constantly seek out new technologies and resources to identify the best talent in the industry.
In this contract role, you’ll report to a Recruitng Manager, where you’ll have the opportunity to network, brainstorm, and share new ideas with other Sourcers and Researchers in various markets around the world. You’ll be a part of a team that leads the charge on diversity, identifying and amplifying our opportunities for diverse talent.
Your Impact
- Partner with Recruiters and hiring managers to effectively gather specific criteria for each role, develop in-depth sourcing strategies, leverage multiple resources for candidate outreach, track all candidates in the CRM, and share information with the business that leads to an effective hiring process
- Identify passive leads from a variety of creative sourcing methods (inclusive of LIR, Github, and more); tap into industry and diversity-driven events and conferences; utilize job boards where appropriate; solicit employee referrals
- Maintain a healthy candidate pipeline to support your requisition load
- Craft engaging and creative outreach messages, and leverage unique ways to engage candidates outside of standard practices
- Track response rates and test new sourcing/engagement methods regularly
- Screen and qualify passive candidates; partner with Recruiting and the business to determine appropriate fit
- Utilize the CRM and other tools to track metrics to demonstrate successful lead generation (i.e. pass-through rates, diversity slates and offers)
- Take on ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary
Your Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of sourcing/recruiting experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
- Previous experience sourcing for technical roles in engineering, computer software, networking/network security, and/or firewalls preferred
- Experience building and developing pipelines of high quality, diverse candidates
- Self-directed, with a high sense of urgency
- Strong research skills and a keen eye for details
- Experience using resources including, but not limited to, resume databases, recruiting and search techniques such as LinkedIn, Google searches (i.e. x ray, scholar), user group lists, industry-specific online professional networks, advanced Boolean searches, blogs, job boards and more
- Previous experience conducting phone screens with candidates of various backgrounds/levels
- Proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage a large and diverse requisition load in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
- Experience with Excel or Google Sheets - advanced to expert knowledge preferred
