Control Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Control Engineer. The Control Engineer will be responsible for designing and programming the hardware and software the company uses in its product, implement them on-prem and in-cloud, all within a frame work of a site construction project. Additionally, the Engineer will have to take an active part in troubleshooting problems that arise in the day to day operations of our platform. The Control Engineer will work closely with the software engineering team to analyze and interpret data, develop new methods of control, and improve upon existing methods.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / knowledge in process control or related field
• Experience developing and implementing SCADA systems within the energy industry
• Strong knowledge of control and electrical engineering principles
• Experience programming and designing solutions using market leading control hardware
• Experience working with Ignition (Inductive Automation) SCADA
• Good understanding of communication protocols such as Ethernet\IP, Modbus 485, Modbus TCP
• Familiarity with software engineering and programming languages such as Python or C++ is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Experience in the energy industry or renewable energy technologies is a plus
