Safety and Compliance Officer

The position:

The Safety and Compliance Officer will lead safety and compliance initiatives across diverse business units. You will interpret protocols, conduct audits, and leverage your expertise to enhance overall safety. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain regulatory audit programs.
• Develop and maintain monitoring program and oversight of the operational departments.
• Manage the quality control of the operational departments.
• Monitor any corrective actions assigned or required to ensure compliance.
• Assist department managers and other staff on compliance matters.
• Monitor progress of audit plan.
• Prepare and monitor submission of the audits to auditees in accordance with company procedures.
• Verify corrective actions are in place and closure of audits on time.
• Assist safety manager on management and implementation of the company Safety Management System (SMS).

Requirements:

• 2 + years of experience in either compliance, safety, auditing, or quality management roles
• Proven ability to work with IT systems, especially systems for data management and analysis.
• Detail-oriented, methodical, observant, analytical with good communication skills.
• High level of spoken and written English.
• Formal education in management or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
