The opportunity:

Finance Director will be responsible for leading ad-hoc finance groups supporting Business Development team. In this role the director will support the business partner/controller (Sr. VP) by building partnership between Business Development and the Finance groups via the development of best practices and management communication tools with regard to strategic business deals. This will include supporting budgeting processes, soliciting critical input from finance groups (Treasury, Tax, Accounting, R&D and TGO Finance teams) and work closely with BD group.

How you’ll spend your day:

• Act as a project manager of dedicated professional team members in Finance group for ad-hoc BD transactions and communicate such input to BD deal lead personnel. This also includes creating Finance BD best practice database
• Develop and own a co-owned (Finance & BD) communication tool (i.e., dashboards) to provide live status to management of strategic deals as they are developed (i.e., during the deal’s cycle). Such work will be done in conjunction with BD’s dedicated development group
• Act as a project manager to a Finance core and extended “validation” groups with respect to strategic deals. Such groups will serve as an oversight group for strategic deals and will provide alternatives (financing, capital allocation, etc.) and/or confirmation of proposed deals as needed
• Planning and analysis of FTE and cost of labor, budget, etc. of the BD group
• Build strong relationships across functions within the company, work closely with various functions (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, R&D, TGO, etc.) as lead contact on behalf of the above departments

Your experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics/accounting
• At least 10+ years of experience as Project Manager
• 5-7 years related business experience.
• M&A, R&D or BD experience is a strong preference.
• Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, SAP
• Fluent written and spoken English
