P-Core Microcode Architect

Job Description

Looking for a CPU firmware architect who is interested in defining architectures and technologies.

In this position you will join the Intel CPU architecture team to be responsible for defining the next generation of firmware rich technologies, impacting all future Intel's client and server generations.

Intel’s CPU architecture team is looking for an innovative architect to define and drive new technologies for future generations of the Performance Core. As a microcode architect, you will become part of the team who defines all the generations of Intel's mainstream P-Core based CPUs.

This role combines the best of SW, HW and FW worlds. You will work in close partnership and deep interactions with CPU and SW architects, with the microcode design and verification teams, with business units and more.

The Role Includes

• Innovating, defining, developing and driving new microcode enhancements, new technologies and other types of improvements.
• Leading technical workgroups and Intel wide forums dealing with these future technologies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in x86 CPU architecture or CPU features or computer systems.
• C/C++/assembly/Perl/Python programming or RTL simulation debug is an advantage

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
