Country Manager (Relocation to Africa)

Casterra Ag, a leading global Israeli castor seed producer and cultivation company, is looking for a country manager for Africa, to oversee and manage its in-country operations and activities. The position requires both a strong farming background and managerial skills.

Responsibilities:

·        Find suitable locations, fields, and farmers to grow the company’s seeds.

·        Negotiate and secure seed-growing contracts with potential growers.

·        Periodic visits to growth sites to monitor soil preparation, cultivation & harvesting.

·        Instructing, training, and providing ongoing Argo-technical support to the company’s growers, and clients.

·        Handle and organize all required logistics in the country, export and import.

·        Set up the company’s dehulling and seed preparation center and supervise its operation.

·        Build a strong local team able to carry out the company’s operations.

·        Direct, manage, and oversee government relationships including, among others: tax authorities, customs, ministry of Agriculture.

·         Maintain close relationships with the company’s clients, extending full support and addressing their needs and requirements.

·        Prepare and present future work plans: annual, quarterly, and monthly.

·        Prepare and present the annual budget.

·        Compile clear and detailed periodical reports: weekly, monthly, quarterly.

·        Exploring new territories to increase sales; marketing activities: presenting Casterra to reach new clients.

·        Preparing sales and marketing analysis, including data presentation.

Requirements:

·        An Agronomist B.Sc. degree is an advantage.

·        At least 5 years of proven experience as a grower or field agronomist.

·        Proven managerial experience (in Africa, an advantage).

·        Fluent in English; additional languages would be an advantage.

·        Proficient in MS Office.

·        Independent, mature, and self-secure.

·        Strong leadership skills (proven).

·        Willingness to relocate as a bachelor.

·        A proactive and results-oriented approach.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·        Strong interpersonal skills.
