Configuration Engineer- Medical Devices

Magenta is a medical device company developing the world’s smallest heart pump, meant to provide minimally invasive support to the heart during acute episodes of dysfunction. The Elevate™ System is multi-disciplinary, involving mechanical engineering, material science, electrical engineering, software, algorithms and state-of-the-art catheter fabrication techniques.

We are looking for the best people possible who can help us propel the Elevate™ System forward and save more lives.

We are hiring for a configuration engineer who will be part of the leading team of the engineering department and will be responsible for leading and providing cross-functional support in configuration management projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product’s lifecycle from early development stages to full transfer for production.
• Responsible for BOM (bill of materials) including full DMR Management.
• Responsible for ECO (engineering change orders) including engineering documents, for example: drawings, models, technical data within the PLM system.
• Works in tight cooperation with several departments, such as R&D, engineering, operations, QA, and product management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering – must.
• 2-3 years of experience with product BOM (bill of materials), change control management, and product configuration - must.
• Work experience with SolidWorks – must.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
•  Fluent in English with excellent writing skills
