What's in it for you?

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at MDE, you will be responsible for leading all testing aspects of our software products from their inception to fruition. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our Windows and mobile applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver a seamless user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Test Planning: Collaborate with product managers and developers to create comprehensive test plans and strategies for new features and products. Define the scope of testing and establish clear test objectives.
• Test Case Design: Develop test cases, test scripts, and test data sets to thoroughly validate software functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Automation Requirements: Identify opportunities for test automation, and design, develop, and maintain automated test suites. Implement and maintain testing frameworks for Windows, Android, and iOS applications.
• Demo and Review: Conduct product demos and review sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and identify potential issues early in the development process.
• Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to verify that new features or code changes do not introduce defects in existing functionality.
• Defect Management: Document and track software defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Production Deployment: Work with the release and deployment teams to ensure a smooth and error-free product release.
• Test Reporting: Generate and share test reports, highlighting key metrics, defects, and areas for improvement with the project team.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, fostering their professional growth.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on Windows and mobile (Android and iOS) platforms.
• Leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution.
• Excellent understanding of mobile application testing on Android and iOS.
• Familiarity with Windows application testing.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience of performance testing.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
