Tech lead Backend Engineer

Searchium.ai owned by GSI Technology Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company

is looking for a Tech lead engineer to lead our applications server backend team.

About us

Searchium.ai is a proprietary hardware-powered vector database serving as the essential foundation for search engines in large-scale AI and ML applications.

As a Tech lead engineer, you will lead complex technological projects independently, working with other teams and groups. You will have full responsibility for developing new features end-to-end in an Agile environment, including a cloud SaaS vector database architecture (Tech stack: Python, Java Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, Kafka, Linux, Docker, Git and more).

In this position you will:

• Be responsible for the design of software according to agreed standards and requirements.
• Lead and groom the backend teams backlog, be active in improving the systems, and making them more robust, scalable, cost-effective and speed-effective.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
• Foster teamwork, mentor & review the quality of the code and process.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Python (C++, Java Spring - big advantage)
• 2 years of proven experience as a tech lead/senior engineer.
• Experience working with cloud such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Proven experience bringing a software solution from an early development stage to production.
• Experience breaking down product requirements to an execution plan and team tasks.
• Experience with database design and efficient data management (Security, Privacy, Stability, Scalability).
• Experience with Docker, Linux, Git, REST.

Nice to have:

• Experience with backend monitoring systems.
• Full stack experience (server side oriented).
• Passionate about design and coding, new technologies, and the development of high-quality software.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Business Oriented – able to “see the big picture” and think about business rules as well as lines of code.
• Great English skills.
