International Media Spokesperson

United Hatzalah of Israel is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as an English Language Media Spokesperson. In this role, you will be the voice of our organization, responsible for crafting compelling narratives and effectively communicating our mission to a global audience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for English-language media inquiries.
• Draft and distribute press releases, op-eds, and other media materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
• Develop and execute media strategies to enhance organizational visibility.
• Craft compelling narratives and human-interest stories.
• Monitor media coverage and report on relevant trends.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and campaigns.
• Develop the media presence of C-Suite leaders.

Qualifications

• Journalism Background: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in media relations or journalism.
• Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Hebrew, with exceptional writing skills in English and spoken skills in both languages.
• Strong Writing Skills: Proven ability to write persuasive press releases, articles, and speeches that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Media Savvy: In-depth understanding of media landscape both in Israel and abroad,, relationships with journalists, and experience in media outreach and crisis communication.
• Storytelling Skills: Demonstrated talent for storytelling and an ability to convey complex humanitarian stories in a compelling and relatable manner.
• Social Media Proficiency: Familiarity with social media platforms and trends, with the ability to create engaging content and manage online presence especially on Twitter.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with unconventional hours, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team Player: Collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
