Data Engineer

Raven data is seeking a data engineer to join our team!

Our company specializes in Digital Human Behaviour by enhancing performance and business processes. 

Our team combines research and analytical backgrounds with advanced technical data skills. 

As a data engineer at Raven you will possess E2E ownership of the solution from understanding business context through data analysis and ETLs into core tech and business strategies.

You should possess exceptional problem-solving skills, along with experience in SQL, Python, data manipulation, ETLs as well as familiarity with statistical concepts and methodologies.

It would be great but not mandatory to have knowledge of cloud environments, architecture best practices and familiarity with marketing analytics.

Responsibilities:

• E2E ownership: Craft impactful data-driven solutions spanning from understanding business context and data warehouse construction and integration into core tech and business strategies.
• Data modeling: Design and develop scalable data processes, data models, and data pipelines using advanced technologies
• Data Analysis: Decode vast and intricate datasets to extract actionable insights. You'll make data-backed suggestions to enhance operational efficiency, enrich customer experiences, and boost revenue generation.

Requirements:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail. 
• Experience in SQL, Python and data manipulation techniques, writing APIs, encompassing data cleaning, transformation, and merging of extensive datasets.
• Familiarity with statistical concepts and methodologies, with practical application in scenarios like hypothesis testing, experimental design, and statistics.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills. You can adeptly communicate intricate concepts and research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in conducting independent research.
• Possess a BSc degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Life Science, Computer Science, or another quantitative field that establishes a robust foundation in data science and machine learning.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced startup environment. Your proactive and solution-oriented mindset will drive success.

Advantages:

• Knowledge of Cloud Environments: Understanding various cloud platforms and services, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience working with NoSQL and SQL database technologies such as Postgres, MongoDB.
• You have built and maintained a data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ci/cd methods.
