Sr. Mechanical Engineer

In this position, you will lead activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams comprising technical experts within the R&D function and other projects stakeholders. You will be required to demonstrate creative skills in a dynamic environment along with hands-on and engineering expertise attitude. You are expected to participate in the development of multi-disciplinary products involving mechanical, plastic, software, electronics and medication related aspects.

Major duties and responsibilities:

· Development and design of products assembly, special tooling and fixtures

· Making conceptual design, detailed design, CAD modeling and prototyping

· Utilize design analyses tools including theoretical calculations for components fit, tolerance analysis and stress calculations

· Perform evaluation testing and define components, sub-assembly and product level specs

· Writing technical protocols, tests methods and presentations related to design activities

· Performing and/or supervising testing of new and existing products, writing and/or approve tests reports

· Managing activities related to ECOs

· Support validation and verification activities of products

· Support industrialization and manufacturing activities

· Work closely with internal interfaces (Engineering, Electronics, QA, HF, RA and software groups) as well as external interfaces such as subcontractors

· Lead and support procurement of commercial off-the-shelf components

· Manage and work with subcontractors that support product development or production

· Lead projects activities with other R&D teams

· Follow the company quality guidelines

· Take part in project team meetings as the Device Mechanics representative.

Education and Knowledge Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering

· 5 or more years related experience in products development and design

· Proficiency in 3-D CAD software such as SolidWorks

· Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM)

· Experience with medical devices design is a plus

· Experience with medical industry standards is a plus

· Knowledge in assembly processes

· Experience with plastic injection, molds and parts design

· Experience with sheet metal parts design is a plus

· Knowledge in PCB manufacturing

· Experience with mechanism design

· Experience with verification tests

· Experience with writing design requirements, protocols, test reports etc

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and work effectively under pressure

· Excellent communication skills proficient in Hebrew and English

Travel Requirements: Able to travel up to 10-20 % of the time.
