The Deep Learning group is a dynamic and innovative team developing solutions for the development, optimization, and deployment of AI, Deep Learning-based applications. We deal with a wide range of activities and technologies, bound tightly together to form our cutting-edge solutions, integrated with Sony's world-leading image sensor products, and the AITRIOS smart-camera platform. Our vision is to continuously push the boundaries of technology and setting the bar for advanced edge AI, Deep Learning solutions.

As a member of the small yet pivotal Product Management team, you will be responsible for influencing the roadmap of our Computer Vision solutions. You will help our developers understand the needs of our customers who are implementing cutting edge solutions with edge AI devices.

You will be required to evaluate proposed solutions, implement POCs when needed, and communicate with the users of our B2D products.

You will focus on AI tools encompassing original open-source projects and commercial tools provisioned as distributed software or web services. Optionally you will also be involved in product aspects of our edge AI hardware technology.

You will be expected to keep up with the latest developments in machine learning, edge computing, and specifically, edge computer vision.

Responsibilities:

10+ years' experience in software development, of them at least 3 years as a product manager in AI related products, preferably in the domain of edge computer vision or equivalent

BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science / Software Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience

Proficiency with product management methods and tools

Experience in implementing CV related machine learning models on edge devices

Be able to adapt and deploy a CV Deep Learning model on an edge device, and run tests such as accuracy and performance on that model

Proficiency in Python programming

Good understanding of one or more ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch

Familiarity with common machine learning architectures

Product Manager will have a self-driven, independent professional who can steer projects with autonomy and also mediate between R&D activities and various Sony and eco-system stakeholders: HQ, customer success, business development, R&D of related products, regional teams, key partners and customers

Investigate customer issues beyond the capabilities of customer success teams, gather information, and reply or pass to R&D as required

Initiate, create, and deliver documentation, tutorials, and other developer resources.

Perform Persona and story analysis and contribute to development strategy and roadmap

Manage and execute discovery and customer feedback loop processes

Perform market research and competitive analysis
