Senior Backend Developer

StreamElements provides production, monetization, audience engagement, and influencer marketing tools and services for livestreams and videos on demand. Our tools power over 1.8 million digital content creators. StreamElements also works with brands across all industries who want to sponsor content creators, providing them with performance marketing campaigns at scale.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

• Writing and implementing, clean, scalable code, and troubleshooting and debugging code someone else wrote (yours is great, we know!)
• Researching and designing new services, features, and applications.
• Verifying and deploying software systems, in production.
• Evaluating user feedback, and recommending (and executing) improvements.
• Creating technical documents and mentoring other developers.
• Gaming/Twitch/YouTube on the side? We love that.

• Server-side hands-on coding experience
• Experience working with SQL
• Proven track record with high scale systems
• Coding experience with NodeJS and TypeScript
• Experience with Observability (Prometheus/Grafana) - a plus
• Experience with Golang - a plus
• Experience with Kubernetes - a plus
• Experience with GCP - a plus
• Experience with MongoDB/Redis/PubSub/NATS - a plus
• Experience with ReactJS - a plus

• We've been remote from the start (with a gathering space in Tel Aviv) and offer stipends for home office setup while making sure you have all of the tech you need to collaborate with your colleagues.
• We have a strong culture around meetings and asynchronous communication to support it (slack, notion, jira, etc).
• You are expected to manage your own time throughout the day, and show flexibility when communicating with people in other timezones.

• Once you have submitted your application, a recruiter will review it and will reach out to schedule an introductory call to learn more about you and for you to learn more about us.
• A manager interview will then be scheduled to dive deeper into your skill set and experience - making sure there is strong alignment early in the process.
• 2-3 interviews will follow, that includes a technical interview and coding assignment, it isn't too hard but we have high expectations on quality of deliverables.
• Once these interviews are wrapped up, we move to references and then an offer :)
