Train to become an excellent patent attorney while working with cutting-edge innovators and technologies.

Love of technology (plural) and writing are a must.

This job is open to both trainees and licensed patent attorneys with a small number of years of experience.

Somebody who loves a diversity of technology and "how things" work is a prime candidate.

While you do not get to dig very very deep into any particular invention, you do:

(a) learn from cutting-edge people in their technology field; and

(b) are forced to think about how the particulars of the technology make the invention "a good thing".

The job is not only about technology and patent law. IP is a business tool, which means we will also teach you how to recognize situations where IP can be useful and how to make sure that IP is indeed used for advancing business interests.

the job requires multiple types of thinking skills - fast learning, self-criticism, ability to live with contradictions, analytical ability, abductive ability and creativity. When we write - and we write in order to help us think - you will learn to be precise, if not downright persnickety, about choosing the right word.

You will also gain new reading skills and the ability to formulate and present arguments.
