Lead UPW Commissioning Engineer

Your Job Purpose:

As a Lead Ultra Pure Water (UPW) Commissioning Engineer working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the semiconductor sector. This job is based in Kiryat Gat, Israel. The Lead UPW Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for leading the commissioning effort of ultra pure water systems supporting cleanroom manufacturing in a high-tech manufacturing facility.

Your Job Description:

• Execution of commissioning activities on UPW equipment and systems.

• Attend discipline specific work group meetings, design reviews, project planning and construction meetings to ensure the commissioning process is included in contract documents and is being fully adhered to.

• Perform review of individual UPW system specific documentation and start up procedures provided by the UPW vendor and contractors to ensure design intent is met. Documents include, construction-specific drawings, submittals, specifications, sequence of operations and process & system integration plans.

• Review of contractor and vendor testing procedures, reports and testing activities to all code and regulative testing and verification requirements.

• Perform UPW System walk-downs, installation verification to requirements of all drawings, P&ID’s, specifications, submittals, specific system and legislative prerequisites with any deficiencies, errors or corrective actions required being notified to the construction team via field work reporting and punch list generation.

• Management of vendor performing start up checks, including responsibility for verifying that the start up documents have been fully executed and signed off.

• Support vendor with field execution of functional acceptance testing (FAT), verification of the operation and integration of all individual UPW system components as part of a fully functional controlled system as per design intent.

Job Requirements:

• The successful candidate will have time served trades experience or degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering.

• An ability to work proactively as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Extensive knowledge of UPW systems in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

• Thorough understanding of acceptable industry standards for quality relative to all plastic, metal and/or hybrid piping materials likely to be used in microelectronics construction.

• Strong mechanical background and an understanding of pumps and hydraulics.

• Strong chemical background and an understanding of chemical interactions and uses in cleaning, neutralization and treatment.

• Must have a working knowledge of instrumentation and controls for systems.

• Strong knowledge is required in the following areas:

• Carbon steel and stainless steel welding and weld characteristics.

• Heat fusion and solvent welding of various plastics.

• All other methods of pipe joining i.e. threaded, compression, face seal, flared fittings, brazing, soldering, etc.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office and BMS applications.
