Data Analytics interns determine the techniques needed and develops analytic models to understand complex business issues and provide data-driven insights by integrating statistical inference, Machine Learning modeling, and/or other advanced analytical methods to manage, classify and analyze complex data from a variety of sources.  They understand and anticipate both business and data requirements, identifying how to optimally integrate data, evaluating analytic techniques and assumptions, and determining follow-up actions to share insights that drive decision-making to address specific business needs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts analyses to respond to business questions, interprets analytical outputs, provides responses in an appropriate format, and partners to build on others' analyses and frameworks.
• Critically evaluates the choice of tools, techniques, and assumptions to ensure they are appropriate within context and provides feedback on features and functions of analytical tools and/or models with guidance from others.
• Partners cross-functionally to advise on experimental design or evaluation frameworks for established data sources, as well as decisions related to data use, personalization, and the data-driven interpretation of results and recommendations.
• Begins to learn the business, the data landscape of that business and the lineage of those data and asks pertinent questions to ensure they understand requirements and/or issues relevant to both the business and its data landscape.
• Evaluates data for applicability to answering relevant and impactful business questions, identifies opportunities to integrate data across sources, and addresses data integrity and/or quality issues in partnership with others. 
  
  

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field
• Must have a minimum of one semester, quarter or term of school to complete after finishing an internship
  
  

The base pay range for this internship is USD $3,760 - $7,390 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $5,040 - $8,120 per month.
