The opportunity:
Teva's global R&D is hiring a Translational and Precision Medicine (TPM), Scientific Project Coordinator, for a dynamic position responsible and accountable for planning and executing projects. The TPM Scientific Project Coordinator will work very closely with TPM Leads, who are responsible for integrating translational and precision medicine into all programs in the Teva pipeline, and with other project management and operational functions in Teva R&D (e.g. Program Leadership, Project Management, Procurement, Legal, and Clinical Operations) as well as vendors and service providers outside of Teva.
How you’ll spend your day
- Scientific Project Coordinator (SPC) supports drug asset programs by enhancing the probability of success and de-risking drug candidates in all phases of clinical development from first in human (FIH) through post-approval.
- Responsible, in partnership and alignment with a Translational and Precision Medicine (TPM) Lead for the development of an overarching TPM Project Management Plan and for providing scientific coordination and project management support to the overarching TPM Strategy for the assigned drug asset(s) in accordance with Teva priorities.
- Develops, maintains, and constantly improves the holistic approach to the management of TPM projects to achieve the highest level of efficiency.
- Oversees the TPM Project Management Ecosystem.
- Responsible for ensuring that project objectives and deliverables for the assigned asset/indication are set and agreed on with TPML, and the core asset PL, as appropriate, project activities are tracked, and that project milestones are accomplished within the defined time frame and budget or are updated, as required, to meet evolving needs and requirements of the project.
- Provides complete tracking of timelines across all project phases and deliverables, communicates and escalates changes in the project deadlines, milestones and goals to project team(s) and functional leadership.
- Identifies and manages any emerging issues and risks for the assigned projects/programs, works proactively to minimize any issues and risks and follows through with remedial actions and mitigation strategies.
- Organizes and facilitates TPM Project Team, TPM Group meetings and/or other meetings or workstreams as appropriate, drives meeting agenda, drafts, and distributes meeting minutes and action times.
- Acts as a liaison and facilitator of interactions between internal and external collaborators, partners, and stakeholders.
- Manages collaboration and document storage tools, including Teams channels, SharePoint sites, Shared Drives, etc., ensures that all relevant project documents are complete, current, and available to teams in a centralized location.
- Maintains a list of vendors, schedules capability review meetings, manages interactions with vendors, central and specialty laboratories as needed.
- Works with procurement on drafting, review, and execution of contracts.
- Acts as an alliance manager and actively manages external vendors, central and specialty laboratories and CROs in ensuring timely generation and delivery of data.
- Supports preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts, tracks accrued expenses and project spending, and invoices against budget metrics.
- Participates in project communications, preparation of slides, job aids, SOPs, etc.
Your experience and qualifications:
- BS and 5+ years’ experience as Project Manager in the life science/pharmaceutical
- Industry:
- Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, Excel, Power Point
- Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
- Ability to lead and influence without authority
- Ability to work independently, including remotely
- Excellent team-work skills
- Fluent in English
Preferences:
MBA
PMP certification
Knowledge and experience with genomic applications, clinical drug development, biomarkers, and data analytics
