IT Procurement Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Identifying and assessing the organization's technology needs and requirements.

2. Researching and evaluating potential vendors and suppliers.

3. Negotiating contracts and pricing terms with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness. Particular focus on putting out tenders and awarding contracts to best service/price offers between Cloud providers, and security vendors (both hardware and licenses) for example.

4. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their technology requirements and align procurement strategies.

5. Developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.

6. Managing the procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.

7. Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

8. Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and vendor performance.

9. Monitoring and evaluating vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

10. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement function.

The IT procurement role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills and a solid understanding of technology products and services. Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors are also essential for successful procurement operations.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A CIPS Diploma or similar certification would be advantageous.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate optimally across all levels of the organization. Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
• A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience working within large international companies, candidates with Fintech or online gaming experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of leading practices in procurement and strategic sourcing as well as operational.
