Title: Annuity Claims Processor

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Pay: $20/hr-$25/hr

An employer is looking for 2 Annuity New Business Processors for a mainly remote, contract-to-hire opportunity in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The client is a leading insurance holding company who provides protection, retirement income and reinsurance solutions through its subsidiaries. The Annuity New Business Processor will be joining a growing Case Review team within the New Business sector, and is responsible for processing claim transactions on annuity contracts. On this team, work is assigned the night before so the Processor will already have the work for the day when they start. Processors generally have 30 cases to review per day, and everything has to be processed within 2 days. The Processor is responsible for ensuring all information is correct, making sure all data is input correctly, as accuracy is extremely important.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Setting up the initial claim notification

Communicating requirements, settlement options and claim status with beneficiaries, agents, attorneys and customers

Evaluating, analyzing and investigating claims

Processing and approving claim payments

Generating settlement confirmation letters

Maintaining accurate and complete financial records

Working closely with the annuity product specialists team to assist with claims inquiries
