Assistant Financial Controller

** Decathlon Israel is looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to join our Finance Team! **

RESPONSIBILITIES - What you will do:

• Participate in month-end closing procedures and assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support the company’s scale
• Analysis of Company’s results on a monthly basis
• Supervise the intercompany reconciliation balances and transactions
• Provide professional guidance and assistance for the bookkeeping staff
• Ad-hoc accounting and finance-related reports as needed
• Participate in preparations for the annual audit
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

REQUIREMENTS - We are looking for someone with:

• Big 4 firm experience – a must
• Degree in Accounting and CPA license - a must
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Must have high expertise in Excel
• Analytical skills, highly motivated
• Excellent English skills (both written and verbal)
• Self-taught, able to lead processes, work independently, take full ownership
• Positive, hands-on, and proactive approach to problem solving
• Understanding of both financial and operational controls
• A team player with passion for sports
