System Engineer

ART MEDICAL is a well-funded, medical startup developing cutting-edge technologies for ICU patients. Our smART+™ platform is an intelligent, sensor-based feeding system for critical care patients that aims to prevent life-threatening in-hospital complications, such as ventilator-associated pneumonia, malnutrition, and acute kidney injury. With the introduction of Nutrition Management 2.0™ to critical care patient scoring systems, the smART+™ platform monitors, analyzes, and prevents malnutrition and gastric aspiration in real-time. By providing optimal nutritional care and achieving up to 100% feeding efficiency, the smART+™ platform improves the standard of care and helps ICU patients recover faster.

As a System Engineer you will be part of a multidisciplinary group of system; hardware, firmware, software.

You will responsble for end-to-end planning and improvement of systems, translating them into technical requirements, working with a product department, being the professional technical author of the product.

You will serve as an internal and external technical liaison for multiple interfaces in the organization and externally you will drive medical products into the next level of maturity and performance to meet the user and business needs.

Main position duties:

• Translate user needs into actionable technical system requirements
• Manage system and sub-system requirements of Medical devices
• Responsibility for development of the system architecture and top-level design
• Work in a multidisciplinary and complex technical environment
• Perform risks management activities for product and production
• Act as the technical lead of multidisciplinary medical system and subsystems
• Responsibility for the system functionality, performance and quality
• Translate field and production feedback into product and production improvements
• Work closely with multidisciplinary R&D team V&V, regulatory, quality and more
• Participate and lead product life cycle processes
• Perform R&D projects planning and tasks breakdown
  
  

• B.Sc degree from a leading institute in the fields of physics/Electrical/Mechanical/Software/bio-medical engineering
• 4+ years of experience as a System engineer from multidisciplinary medical device industry.
• Strong technical foundation in product development principles
• Experience through full product development life cycle of medical devices
• Experience in EMC & Safety testing
• Can-Do and problem-solving attitude, Self-driven
• A team player with great interpersonal skills
• Fluent in technical English – verbal & written
• Curious and self-learning abilities.
