Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ASIC SSD Architect to join our dynamic team. As an ASIC SSD Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting cutting-edge solid-state drive (SSD) solutions, with a particular focus on PCIe host interface, power architecture, and architecture convergence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SSD technology, USB & UFS protocols, power management, and the ability to drive architecture convergence to deliver high-performance, low-power, and cost-effective SSD solutions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• ASIC Architecture, IP definition and HW/FW partition
• ASIC architecture and IP specification for ASIC development
• Dealing with several product lines in order to get the requirements and define the architecture
• Working closely with the design and verification teams while guiding them
• Leading complex activities while having multiple interfaces
• Lead the architectural design of ASIC-based SSD solutions with a specific focus on PCIe host interface integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine SSD requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer needs.
• Analyze SSD performance, reliability, and scalability requirements to architect efficient and high-performance solutions.
• Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
• Evaluates all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
• Possess a strong understanding of USB & UFS protocols and standards to design and optimize the host interface for seamless SSD integration into various computing systems.
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• BSc. in Computer Science or Computer / Electrical Engineering
• At least 10 years of experience in ASIC architecture
  
  

Skills

• Extensive experience in ASIC SSD architecture design, particularly in PCIe host interface integration and power management.
• Proven track record of driving architecture convergence in complex semiconductor designs.
• Proficiency in ASIC design tools, simulation methodologies, and hardware description languages (HDLs).
• Solid understanding of power management techniques and low-power design principles for SSDs.
• Strong understanding of USB & UFS protocols and related storage technologies - advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Capable of developing a wide system view for complex embedded systems
