Technical Advisor

An Infinidat Technical Advisor (TA) is an experienced Storage Systems Engineer providing our customers with a named technical resource for the duration of the lifecycle of their installed system(s). As the customer’s trusted advisor, the TA provides a full spectrum of services. During the time of the engagement, the TA will learn about the customer’s IT operations as it relates to the ongoing implementation of the Infinidat storage systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a single technical point of contact post-sales for non-break/fix issues
• Support and guide the customer through the implementation of new systems into their environment
• Establish a comprehensive understanding of the customer's environment (e.g. applications, servers, network, virtualization) integrated with the Infinidat systems
• Advocate on behalf of the customer, ensuring all specific needs and concerns are properly communicated with Infinidat
• Act as a Crisis Manager in the event of serious service impact
• Provide regular executive updates to the customer and to Infinidat senior management
• Work with support and account teams to produce and deliver Root Cause Analysis
• Follow up on open customer issues and requests to ensure timely resolution
• Conduct periodic Service Reviews with the customer and their account team
• Pro-actively work with the customer to recommend code levels, best practices and relevant white paper

REQUIREMENTS

• Project Management experience
• Sensitivity and tolerance when dealing with customers
• Interpersonal skills and positive communication skills
• Ability to team effectively and work with other departments within Infinidat particularly the support teams
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative
• A capability to operate in an ever-changing dynamic working environment
• Creative thinking when looking for technological solutions
• Good understanding of Unix operating systems, particularly CentOS
• Deep understanding of central NAS and SAN storage systems
• Understanding of Ethernet, iSCSI and FC SAN networks
• Good understanding of open system world compute
• Good understanding of VMware and Hyper V virtual environments
• Good understanding of DRP and backup environments
• An understanding of API and scripting with Python.
• Familiarity with DB and application environments, including Oracle, SAP, Microsoft SQL, Exchange
• Fluent English language skills (both oral and written)
• 5+ years of Storage Industry Experience
