Project Lead

General 

We’re seeking a full-time Project Leader for a company developing a novel ASO based treatment cancer. The project leader will oversee the scientific activities of the company, as well as  use her/his leadership and business skills to promote the efficiency and competitive position of the company.

Responsibilities 

• Management the execution of the research plan and budget, including discovery and development activities 
• Lead preclinical discovery and mechanistic research efforts 
• Achieve fundable milestones and effectively execute go/no-go decisions 
• Prepare Israel Innovation Authority submissions and discussions including scientific and operational aspects 
• Present project progress and risk assessment/mitigation plans, including budgetary considerations and challenges 
• Review competitive landscape and implement required adjustments to short and long-term research plans 
• Manage a variety of chemistry and biology CROs and consultants as well as a lean internal team to meet discovery milestones 
• Build and maintain good relationships with academic and industry liaisons, vendors, and government KOLs 

 Requirements 

·        PhD /Post Doc level in Chemistry or Biology

·        Fluent English

·        Excellent presentation skills

• At least 5 year experience in project management in the biotech industry 
• Experience with hands-on employee management
• Experience with in-vitro and in-vivo models for cancer research

·        Experience with discovery and development of preclinical-stage drug candidates

• Experience developing ASO molecules a must
• Experience with a drug delivery system (e.g LNP )
• Superior written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Hebrew 
• Experience in preparing and managing budgets 
• Ability to lead and manage subcontractors and collaborators 
• Willingness to do hands-on work as needed and ability to travel abroad to oversee activities
