We have partnered with a fast growing spirits brand that is looking for a Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to continue to build out their supply chain operations and be a key member of the team to help the company grow to their fullest potential. This is a highly visible role that will come with opportunities for growth.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager will lead category strategy development, sourcing, supplier management, and overall supply chain and logistics four our clients portfolio.

This high-potential leader will contribute to the ongoing development of the supply chain and logisticts as well as the Procurement function that is preparing to support significant growth across the US and International businesses.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in cross-functional teams that develop innovative, rapidly-scaling supply chain solutions as the this brand is taking off and growing rapidly.

This requires lateral thinking skills and rapid decision-making in our entrepreneurial culture.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the team that drives all sourcing, value creation, risk management and business deliverables for all the spend categories :

• Act as a lead interface point for Product Development, PMO, Technical Services, Quality and Manufacturing for sourcing and supplier development in support of Brand Innovation, Renovation and Supply Chain optimization programs.

• Embed rigor in category management practices and a disciplined approach to creating and executing sourcing and supplier management plans.

• Collaborate with partner functions to develop supply chain plans that deliver against targets for cost, quality, service, while supporting new product launches and other change initiatives.

Category Strategy Development :

Design forward-looking category strategies that are aligned with stakeholder / business requirements; leverage deep external market insight

• Provide category expertise to cross-functional teams that is used to influence / support / enable the Innovation, Brand Change and Product Development project pipeline.

• Collaborate with Product Development and other stakeholders to identify new suppliers that bring innovation, technology, and competitive advantage to the product portfolio.

• Build discipline of forecasting of category risks and opportunities on a continual basis in partnership with Finance.

Sourcing Execution & Contracts Management :

• Develop and execute sourcing plans that are defined within category strategies.

• Identify, develop, and utilize new tools, systems, and processes to drive increased value and efficiency in RFPs / RFIs and related supplier / market exercises.

• Negotiate agreements with suppliers to maximize value, mitigate risk, identify improvement opportunities, and minimize total cost of ownership.

• Assess opportunities for managing commodities risk in supplier tolling agreements for greater value e.g., corn positions, basis coverage and co-products, etc.

• Lead and develop high-performing supplier relationships that deliver vs. KPIs across cost, quality, service, innovation, and others.

• Create and implement a supplier performance management framework that drives actions for continuous improvement

• Prioritize and resource category projects based on emerging business needs, evolution of the Manufacturing footprint and changing supplier / market conditions.

• Inspire and partner with staff members to develop plans that help them achieve their personal career aspirations.

Responsibilities & Requirements :

• Develop and implement actionable category strategies that generate a pipeline of value opportunities.

• Design and execute sourcing processes in line with category strategies.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Technical Services, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing to deliver against opportunities that drive overall MAB Supply Chain performance.

• Lead supplier relationships that align with a segmentation model that prioritizes the allocation of resources with suppliers of greatest business impact.

Qualifications, Education, & Experience

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in the development of multi-year category strategies.

• Stakeholder management in a multi-site manufacturing environment

• Experience using functional procurement models such as a category strategy framework and 7-step sourcing method.

• Skilled in Negotiating supply agreements that incorporate price risk management / tolling mechanisms linked to commodity pricing.

• Must have analytical approach to negotiating optimal MOQ’s and assuring supply continuity with minimal risk.

• Experience Managing people and developing talent.

• Background in influencing stakeholders that have varying agendas across an international business landscape.
