Technical Writer

WINT develops IoT hardware and software water-management solutions for the real-estate and industrial sectors.

The devices are installed in buildings – such as the Empire State Building and on construction sites. The system monitors usage patterns and uses Machine Learning, signal processing and statistical analysis techniques to detect anomalies and prevent leaks by shutting off water. Our customer prevents massive damage to facilities – which could reach millions of dollars per incident and save 20%-25% of their ongoing water consumption.

As Technical Writer you will be leading WINT's knowledge resources for both internal and external audiences. Your primary responsibility is to write technical documents, maintain and develop the right tools. You work closely with various SMEs, CSMs, and Support personnel, as well as other units in the company, to create and maintain in-depth documentation. Your role involves creating easy-to-understand support content, manuals, tutorials, and other technical-rich content.

• Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify knowledge gaps, develop content, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Create online help & online training material, through a variety of delivery media (electronic, printed, and audio-visual).
• Implement best practices for information management, including information architecture, metadata, taxonomies, and search optimization.
• Provide training and support to staff to ensure that they understand and use the knowledge management system effectively.

• 3+ years of industry experience as an effective Technical Writer in SaaS/Software companies. Experience with hardware is a big plus.
• Mandatory practical knowledge of software topic-based writing.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for details.
• A natural researcher and information gatherer to locate relevant information from various sources.
• Native or highly fluent English speaker.
• Writing documents in Hebrew is a big plus.
