Operations Engineer

As an Data Operations Engineer you will be in charge of managing data infrastructure and data applications in production, take overall responsibility for the quality of the data services that the company provides.

The primary technology stack includes:

Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Airflow, Jenkins ,TeamCity, Alluxio, S3, Hadoop ecosystem (Cloudera), Kafka, Aerospike, Redis, MariaDB, Postgresql, Single Store, ELK stack, Git, F5 load balancer, NGNIX

Infrastructure: private clouds, on-premise data centers.

Responsibilities

• Possessing a deep understanding of the company's applications and IT infrastructure
• Supporting the existing data infrastructure
• Contributing to the creation of new infrastructure components, documentation development, and customer onboarding
• Acting as a focal point for R&D teams
• Participating in the investigation process in the event of issues or incidents for specific R&D teams
• Offering solutions and support for critical IT environments
• Developing automations using Python, FastAPI, and Bash scripting

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Linux administration
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes
• Understanding of the TCP/IP network stack
• Proficient troubleshooting skills and basic application debugging
• Understanding or experience with message queue systems such as Apache Kafka
• Practical experience in Python programming and Bash scripting

Nice to have:

• Experience with Version Control Systems (preferably Git)
• Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, Iceberg)
• Experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, TeamCity
• Experience in managing systems with configuration management (Ansible)
• Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, or other RDBMS/NoSQL solutions
• Understanding of data flow processes
