Payment optimization's lead role involves improving Rapyd’s payments strategy and processing logic to achieve several crucial objectives: continuous testing of leading PMs to ensure optimal payment flow, reducing costs, improving authorization rates, and providing a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage data analytics to gain valuable insights and create cross platform payment optimization plan to reduce transaction failure and minimize its costs
• Develop and deploy payment optimization techniques across Rapyd’s global payment platform to continuously contribute the company’s overall payment performance success
• Monitor the performance of our network partners by analyzing financial data and present internal and external QBRs with clear KPIs
• Optimize payment-related costs, including processing fees, to improve the overall financial health.
• Testing and rolling out payment methods capabilities via our network partners payment rails
• Managing subcontractors (e.g. mystery shoppers) to test in-store and online payments experiences to ensure that Rapyd’s proposition is as robust as possible
• Respond in real-time to network payment partners’ transactions events and create the necessary priorities and escalation flows

Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of experience in Payment Operations at a leading technology or payments company.
• Profound knowledge of all aspects of a payment transaction, from payment acceptance, reconciliation, cross border payments and payouts.
• In-depth Payment business and technical domain knowledge including interchange, Payment systems, and Payment solution providers
• Previous hands-on work experience with Payment optimization providers or a similar field will be considered a plus.
• Experience in the following tools: SQL, Postman, Kibana, Jira , Confluence - strong advantage.
• Complete understanding of payment metrics and how to influence/manage/report
• In-depth Payment business and technical domain knowledge including interchange, Payment systems, Payment models (ISO, PayFac etc) and Payment solution providers
• Excellent financial modeling, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong data processing and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills - candidates must be highly articulate and possess the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
