About Bayit Brigade
Founded in 2019, Bayit Brigade is a non-profit organization providing housing and support services to active and former Lone Soldiers in Israel. Bayit Brigade’s primary mission is to reduce the challenges Lone Soldiers face in finding affordable housing as they complete army service and transition to civilian life- and help soldiers stay in Israel for the long-term. Bayit Brigade currently manages 9 apartments in the greater Tel Aviv area and offers housing support services to 31 soldiers. In addition, Bayit Brigade serves another 100 soldiers through rent subsidies, moving scholarships, grocery stipends, and a Guarantor Fund, along with other services to assist Soldiers in renting apartments in Israel.
Now in its fifth year, the organization is seeking to expand its impact by launching a flagship building for Lone Soldiers. While still in the early stages, Bayit Brigade has secured the rights to a building in Tel Aviv and is now collaborating with nonprofit partners, donor groups, and city officials to bring the vision to life.
