ASHRA is a government-owned insurance company that was established in 1957 to encourage exports from Israel and to raise export financing for mid and long-term projects. ASHRA operates mainly in developing countries characterized by high commercial and political risks. ASHRA's insurance coverage is up to 95% against political risks and up to 90% against commercial risks. The company is the only Israeli insurance company in its sector and its policies are fully backed by a state guarantee.

Role Description

The Senior Underwriter is responsible for managing the underwriting process and assessing risk levels for export transactions to developing countries and industrialized and developed countries. The Senior Underwriter will work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with policy guidelines and assess the financial soundness and creditworthiness of clients. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Tel Aviv District, Israel, with flexibility for some remote work.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of lending principles, credit risk assessment, and underwriting standards
• Experience in underwriting and assessing risk levels for export transactions
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics or Business Administration.

Beneficial skills:
