General Manager

We are in search of a highly capable General Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset, preferably an ex-founder, to lead our business group responsible for the end to end reliable and timely documentation processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at designing scalable business processes. The ideal candidate should have the ability to take full ownership of the service. This signifies a need for someone who can independently solve problems, manage the service effectively, and excel in prioritizing and allocating capital to create the most value at any given moment.

The General Manager will also be responsible for scaling a diverse team of approximately ten members to dozens, encompassing roles in operations, full-stack engineering, data engineering, product design, and product management. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is key to our strategic growth and operational success.

Your responsibilities and what you'll be doing:

• Creating and managing essential performance goals for the business unit and leading the group's operations, ensuring resource efficiency and the achievement of operational excellence.
• Taking full ownership of the service, with minimal escalation to the CEO, indicating a high level of independence and problem-solving skills.
• Strategically hiring and scaling a diverse team from around 10 members to dozens, including operations staff, engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Fostering a culture of innovation and agility within the team.
• Ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and speed of financial document management.
• Collaborating with marketing to communicate the service's value effectively.
• Designing business processes for high-value service delivery and scalability.
• Overseeing service performance, prioritizing speed and reliability to maintain customer value.
• Prioritizing and allocating capital efficiently to maximize value creation.
• Actively reinforcing the company's culture among all team members, promoting alignment with our core values and mission.
• Delving into details and solving root issues for effective management.
  
  

• Proven track record in general management, especially in a startup or dynamic environment.
• Preferably a background in product management.
• Strong experience in hiring and scaling multidisciplinary teams, from small groups to larger teams.
• Entrepreneurial background with a history of strategic and innovative thinking.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in interpreting financial statements and possessing a strong ability to analyze information, assess performance indicators, and make data-informed decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
