Medical Physicist in Radiotherapy

Sheba Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Physicist in Radiotherapy.

Job Description

• Planning and executing radiotherapy treatment for patients.
• Conducting quality control measurements on institute radiation devices following national and international protocols and calibrations.
• Providing professional expertise in physical, technological, scientific, and clinical aspects within the institute.
• Advising, guiding, and offering professional opinions on equipment procurement.
• Participating in reception tests and transitioning new equipment to clinical use, including assuming professional responsibility for it.
• Establishing contact with external professional bodies in equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Participating in optimizing the clinical use of radiation and balancing the benefits and risks associated with it.
• Offering technical support to institute teams in performing new or complex clinical procedures.
• Active involvement in research and development.
• Keeping abreast of developments in the field of medical physics for potential implementation in the institute.
• Providing professional advice and solutions related to processing and performing imaging tests in the radiation institute.
• Performing other professional tasks as instructed by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or Medical Physics.
• Third-degree graduate - an advantage.
• Work experience in the field of radiotherapy - an advantage.
• Proficiency in Hebrew and English.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
