Network Security Engineer

The Cyber & Information Security department at Nova is looking for a Network Security Engineer to support our business and drive its growth.

In this role you will become an integral part of the Cyber Team, enabling network security and increasing productivity by partnering with cross-organizational functions.

As part of this role, you will be held accountable for the global network security of the company, you will work closely with global teams and departments such as IT, R&D, etc. and you will play a pivotal role in the Cyber team, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Role and responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance for network and security in a global environment.
• Working with different network security systems as part of a cyber security team and performing various tasks.
• Operating and troubleshooting various network and security systems.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise for network problems including performance analysis, WAN/LAN/Security failures, and equipment malfunctions.
• Identify new security threats by conducting continual monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and log analysis.
• High understanding of security technologies and protocols such as IPSec, VPN, TLS, SSL, and SD-WAN and how they interact with other pieces of the network to ensure that the overall environment is well protected from outside and inside threats.
• Working knowledge, experience, and ability with TCP internals and other L4-7 protocols and technologies such as: HTTP, DNS, NTP, Netmon/Wireshark, etc.
• Leading strategic projects such as network segmentation.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in Network Security / Cybersecurity at an industrial company.
• Operate, manage, and maintain diverse network security systems, including Palo Alto FW, PA Prisma, F5, NAC Proxy, etc.)
• Experience in supporting global infrastructure companies.
• Experience in identifying threats and developing appropriate protection measures.
• Good knowledge of information security systems cloud, server-client suites, network protocols, and emergent cybersecurity technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to identify possible risks and provide risk prevention and mitigation.
• Understanding of cyber security threats, tools, and best practices.
• Self-learner, highly motivated, Technology-driven, and ambitious for success.
• Good team player, Self-confident, motivated, and independent.
• Good communication skills
• English and Hebrew – fluent speaking, reading, and writing.
