Platform Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled senior Platform Engineer to lead the establishment of a Developer Experience team, specializing in Infrastructure and Tooling. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the foundational infrastructure and tools that power the organization's application development and deployment processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust and efficient platform that supports our growth and innovation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure components, including cloud services, containerization platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and manage automation tools and frameworks to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to understand their requirements and provide solutions that enhance development workflows and productivity.
• Implement and enforce best practices, standards, and security measures for infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to infrastructure, performance, and scalability, and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation within the platform infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience in a similar position
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, cloud services, and automation tools (e.g., AWS Secret Management, EKS/ECS, Terraform). – a must
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and tooling purposes. – a must
• 2+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience (e.g Java, Go, python, node.js etc) – a must
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, experience with GitHub, GitActions, JFrog Artifactory, and more – a must
• Solid knowledge of containerization technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) – a must
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Splunk, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.) – a must
